Improving coffee quality in East and Central Africa through enhanced
primary processing practices

Improving the production of quality coffees, which command premium prices, through improved methods of primary processing by farmer groups/associations at the village level (enhanced wet semi-washed processing or sun-drying methods). This will lead to an increase in income generation, thereby improving the livelihoods of small-scale coffee farmers and their families.
